A new start

Hi!  My name is Connie Dentlinger.  This is my 19th year of teaching and I absolutely love it!!  I have taught Kindergarten for 8 years, 1st Grade for 7 years and 2nd Grade for 3 years.  This year, I decided to try something new, so I moved to Title 1 Reading!  The change has been a LOT of fun, with a LOT of new things to learn, but I'm getting there.  This summer I took a class that offered lots of neat ideas that parents and teachers could try to help students who may be struggling in reading.  My goal for this blog is to each week offer one of those ideas.  Since I am also looking for new ideas, if anyone has a good idea that they have tried, I would love to hear about it!!!  I hope you have a GREAT school year!!!
